After the UK already introduced a “tax” on plastic packaging that does not contain at least 30% recycled plastics, now Spain is following with a similar model. Spain will introduce a plastic tax on non-reusable plastic packaging. It is expected to enter into force in January 2023 and it may apply to foreign businesses.
Spain follows the global trend on green taxes introducing the plastic tax on non-reusable plastic packaging.
