Packaging is an important part of our daily life. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to take water to exercise, buy ketchup from the supermarket, or carry laundry detergent home. However, we also produce huge amounts of waste with the packaging – above all, this is said to be the case with plastic. Many are switching to glass or other packaging materials. But is this the right move? Are we really doing something good for our environment?
ALPLA has published an informative website (only in German) that takes a look at the different types of packaging that can be found in supermarkets and draws a comparison between them.
